Thomas slept an additional hour after these pics were taken, TOTALLY oblivious that we had overtaken his bed for 30 minutes!!

When I was younger and sleeping, my dad set off the fire alarm by burning something on the stove. I slept through the fire alarm blaring through the house, panicked attempts to get the burning food to stop setting off the alarm, opening windows, fanning smoke around. Slept through the fire truck blaring down my street, and then breaking the front door because my parents were frantically trying to get the fire alarm to quit. Slept through the confusion and chaos of the firemen in our front hall and my parents sheepishly (I imagine) explaining what happened...

woke up the next morning and asked what happened to the door.
