This might be better off in the debate section but I'll try here first. From reading all of these posts, as well as my own research and listening to others, I know that I'm not the only one that got a crappy deal in the hospital. I know I'm not the only one to end up with an avoidable c-section.
My question is: What can we do about it? Maybe I'm naive but I really feel a need to do what I can to stop this. I don't want to file a lawsuit; I don't really want to ruin my doctor's life for going along with the current ob trends either. But I do think we need to be heard. My husband pointed out to me that I can grieve, be angry, and complain all I want but if I don't hold others accountable for their actions, nothing will ever change.
I'm thinking of filing a complaint with our state's medical board and writing a letter to my doctor laying out how I feel and why I won't be back (after I get my records). Has anyone else done this? Did anything happen?
