I'm not a JETS fan but I am a Farve fan and I am excited he will still be playing even if it's not for the Packers!

NY fans have a reputation of being, well, mean. I don't want them to be mean to Brett or I'll have to come up there and kick some butt.

I'm so very sad and ticked off at Packer management.

You know, I use to have a soft spot in my heart for the Pack because of Farvre.

No more, assholes.

I hope he does well at the Jets and that the Pack never wins again.

(disclaimer: I'm a Bear's fan, it takes very little to wish the pack ill)

You want me to cry?

One thing to keep in mind is that the three stooges in management aren't "the Packers", they represent a mistake of the Packers.

What football team hires a former Bush administration (politician) as a press advisor? A politician's press advisor who many believe (right or wrong) lied to get into a war. Why do that?

My hope is that the Packers lose their first pre-season game, win their next two. I hope they win their first season game (who likes the Vikings anyway) and that Aaron Rodgers does well. I want the stooges to come on and say how right they were for choosing Aaron over Brett. Then I want them to lose 5 in a row, horribly. I want Aaron to go out on a hangnail injury (one that doesn't really hurt him, but puts the Pack in a very poor position). I want them to win another game or two, intermingled with losses and then lose the remaining games.

I want Brett to win the Super Bowl.

Then, maybe the rest of Wisconsin will get on my bandwagon of booting the stooges out of Wisconsin and we can get on with real Packer football.

ETA: I do have lots of guilt over wishing Aaron Rodgers an injury and/or a bad season. As far as I know, he's not done anything wrong or bad, there's just no other way I can see to get rid of this management.

Damn, JD, that's a hell of a plan. Color me impressed. :)

Actually, I also feel bad for Aaron Rodgers in this whole mess. He seems to be handling it very gracefully and he seems to respect Favre immensely. You can't blame him for wanting to get on the field. I hope he does well, but not because I want to see the Packer front-office pat themselves on the back.

I also have to say that I'm super-excited to see another NFL fan here on the boards! :D Any takers on college FB?? Anyone...anyone....Bueller...?

Well, I'm not a Jets fan, but like others, l am a Brett Favre fan. I'm very glad to see that he's going to play somewhere. I still can't believe that they didn't want him.

Go JETS!

I love Brett Favre. I am proud of the name he's made for himself and proud to be a fellow Southern Miss alumni.

However, I am disappointed that he returned to the field. Not because I doubt his ability, but because I fear he will pull a Dan Marino and go out on a very bad note (losing season or worse, injury).

I was proud that he got out of the game on top. I hope he has a good season, but I really, really wish he would have stayed his butt in Cainbrake and coached Southern Miss!!!

Dude, JD, did you miss the part of about me being a Bear's fan?

I hope the Bears can whoop the Pack twice this year, and while I don't wish anyone any injuries, I seriously hope they (the Pack) are plenty sore after both games.

I do like your plan, though. I think the Jets could use a break.

I hope they treat him well there. I think he's got a lot of class.

It will be sad, tho, that Brett won't get to the Super Bowl. They should've traded him to an NFC team. Then he's at least get to the big game before Peyton and my boys send him off. ;)

Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy are both idiots for treating Favre the way they did. Yes, he did retire in March but according to Favre, it was more or less feeling to him like the Packers didn't want him. Specifically TT and MM.

I hope he gets treated very well by the Jets. I'm glad all the drama is done right now in Green Bay. We'll see this year how Aaron Rodgers fares...I have my doubts! And who the hell is going to back Rodgers up if he gets hurt or whatever???? What a joke.

I was at the IHS clinic we have on our rez...I saw someone already sporting a Favre jersey in the Jets colors/logo. Pretty cool!!

They did last year, twice.

Gigi-as a fan, I agree. As a person (who is getting older by the second) I totally get why he does what he does and as long as the Jets treat him like any other player (pulling him if needed), I say go for it.

Dan Marino was sad because the guy couldn't walk or run, even while playing. It was like waiting for someone to smear him across the field. He had a legitimate injury that many people don't come back from (and I don't think he should have as well).

Farve is in much better shape, had a fantastic season and seems to not be a total Diva.

Too bad he was a cheesehead.

Legends like Favre should ride quietly into the sunset with their dignity. He should have called Emmitt Smith to see how it worked out for him to join the Cardinals after the Cowboys no longer wanted him. There is a time for everything. Especially a time to retire.

Ahem...How is Toothlessburger doing these days? I do say that sort of affectionately... I used to watch Ben play in college. I am from a fellow MAC school, and I root for Ben to do well, though it stops about ... there. Call it tunnel vision.
