Thrush :(

I have a couple of questions regarding thrush...any info would be greatly appreciated! I asked my doctor to perscribe me something for thrush to see if that was the source of my pain. She gave me Diflucan (only 150 mg the first day, and then again 3 days later) and I am only on day 2 and there seems to be an improvement already. My questions are:
-should I go ahead and throw away our bottles and pacifiers, or wait until I am done with the treatment
-should I treat DS with gentian violet even though he has no signs? (he does have only TINY white spot on the back of his palate...not sure if it is related
-if I use the Ameda Comfortgel hydrogel pads, will it make it worse?
-I have been freezing my breastmilk...should I use it later...not sure how long I have actually had yeast

If there is thrush, both you and babe must be treated at the same time. I'm not at my home computer, but if you go to jacknewman.com, you'll find the treatment for thrush using GSE; very effective.

You can sterilize bottles and nipples and should be able to remove the yeasties from them.

be sure to do the same with anything that touches your boobs or baby's mouth. wash bras in hot water with bleach (if you think the fabric will stand up to it), rinse with vinegar, line dry or extra hot dryer.
