Just went on two week vacation driving from South Florida through GA, TN, KY, NC and SC. I nursed in public (at the Louisville Slugger museum, a distillery, plenty of restaurants, etc) and I got nothing but compliments about what a happy baby ds is. I even had an old lady come up and caress ds's hair as he was nursing. :hugegrin:

Part of me was a bit apprehensive about NIP since he's already one and actually passes for 1 1/2 or two sometimes; so I was sure I would get some odd looks.

Just thought I would share!

:D:hugegrin::D

Wow thanks for sharing with All Brest feeders here at brestfeeding.com

It is trully wounderful to hear good comments and Appreciation as you did when brest feeding in public,it is trully a natural and amazing thing nursing.

let you know your doing a good job and keep up the good work and maybe people can be a lot more open after hearing experinces such as yours.

help change brest feeding in the public eye one baby at a time Thanks

God bless you and your little one

Thanks for sharing! That's so encouraging. I've also never had a bad experience NIP. I once sat down next to an older gentleman on a bench in the mall to nurse my daughter and he was quite kind. He didn't say anything, but smiled and didn't say anything negative. Keep up the good work!

It's encouraging whenever I NIP and don't have any negative comments. It makes me feel like maybe we're finally accepting bf as a norm.

I also have never had a bad experience NIP. Usually, everyone pretends not to notice, but 2 days ago I had an older lady admire my ds as he was nursing and it was really nice to not be ignored. Don't get me wrong, I don't need a parade when I am NIP, but I don't want my son and I to be invisible either.
