6 month old waking after 45 minutes

Almost every evening after putting down my 6 month old to sleep, he is waking up after 45 minutes. I nurse him then - sometimes 10 min., sometimes 5 min. - and he is back to sleep. Why does he keep waking like this? Something I read said this is an indicator of poor milk quality. He has grown tremendously on breast milk solely from 6 lbs. 1 oz. since birth to 19 + pounds. I hate the way we read things and question ourselves - especially with nursing! Any advice?:hugegrin:

I completely agree with you. Your milk is fabulous! What an incredible weight gain. I would say he just decides he wants a little more, so just let him nurse when he wants it. Babies BF for many reasons--comfort, safety, hugs, etc.
