Ok, now it's funny.
My daughter's pony, Thunder had mastitis.
Her "teat" was about 10 times the normal size.
So, here I am, my 8 yo son providing me with ice packs as my 11yo daughter held the pony and I proceded to ice her up while hand expressing for about an hour (felt like 4). I gave her pony "motrin" bute for you horse people. I called the vet and he could not believe I took care of it myself. Well, as a mommy and LC, I think I can handle it.
And I did. Thunder thanked me with a sloberry kiss.
The kids got a wonderful lesson too. They know it's all about the teat, whatever the species! LOL!
