DD has been getting solids so her poop has become more solid. It looks more like miniature big people poop instead of being mushy and soft. She still has an occasional blow out of soft poop but not often. Today she actually strained to go poop like she was struggling to push it out. She has never done that before.

She really likes eating these http://www.gerber.com/toddlersite?tmsdir=food&tmspage=ff_puffs.html&tmspromo=2 and eats about 10 puffs a day but everything else she gets are either fruits or veggies with the very rare taste of meat. She also gets Cheerios on occasion too. I have also started giving her yogurt but have only given it to her twice so far.

She mainly gets breast milk to drink but sometimes when I am done cooking fruit or veggies, I will put some of the left over water from the pan in a sippy cup for her to try.

Is her poop normal or should she still be having several mushy poops a week?

I noticed dd got a bit constipated when she had puffs and/or cheereos. I started limiting those two things. Some days it is soft (like thick mashed potatoes and sometimes it is a mini adult poo). A lot depends on what she eats, but what you are saying seems normal.

DD's poop has changed from a runnier, brown seedy kind of poop to a soft mashed potatoe like poop since we've started solids. I haven't seen any adult looking poo yet. However, she's never had anything other than fresh or steamed fruits and vegies...except for the occasional peice of bread or tortilla. It sure it much stinkier though.

The odd thing is DD has always strained to poo up until recently, shortly after we started solids. Now we can only smell it we don't see that funny little grin on her face anymore when she's trying to push things out..lol.
