my four week old has a habit of feeding every 4 hours apprx through the day then around the 5-6pm feed will go to bed and not want a feed again till 10-10.30 ... so about 5 to 5 and a half hours instead of 4. How can i Switch this time so he has the longer gap after the later 10pm feed?. Is it possible?

At 4 weeks old, you can't do much. Most 4 weeks old are still eating every 2-3 hours through out the day. It is really important to follow your baby's lead right now. If he has only been in the world for 4 weeks, he is still adjusting. Frequent feedings also help you establish your supply, which you body stilil may be doing at this time.

Is you baby having at least 6 wet diapers a day and gaining weight? 6 feedings in a 24 hour period is on the low side for a 1 month old. Most are eating 8-12 times in a 24 period.

I know how hard sleep deprivation is, but it will end. Enoy this special time you have with baby. They grow up and get bigger so quickly.

That's great!

You could try feeding him more frequently during the day, and see if that helps. But, at 1 month old, I wouldn't push anything. He is still establishing his eating pattern. I would focus on following his lead right now.

Not sure how you feel about this, but cosleeping is another option. I agree that at 1 month old, there isn't much you can do. Babies need to eat when they need to eat. Feeding more during the day could help.
