Hi:) I have been successfully breastfeeding my son for three months with no problems at all - ever. All of a sudden..yesterday morning I woke up and my left breast was quite a bit fuller than the right one. I do my best to have him nurse each one...What happened?? I've been pumping the smaller one today and it's not filling up yet.... there is hardly anything in it.. Anyone know what happened? How to remedy? ... and does nursing tea really increase supply??

Thanks!!

Your breast is fine! No worries. Sounds like they are just adjusting to your babys needs. Its normal to have different breasts... One that "works" better than the other for example. I know you think the whole world notices - I have the same problem but trust me no one notices.

I agree with pp this is very normal. Every women I've talked to has one breast that always produces more than the other...mine do the same thing. I'd just nurse more on the side producing less if you want to even things out a little but they'll never be exactly even...expect this difference.

It is common for one hand to be larger than the other - and it is common for lactating breasts to be different sizes as well :)
Does the baby prefer the larger breast? Perhaps the flow is faster, or the nipple is more protracted (sticks out more) for a better latch?
