DD is sick

My DD is 7 months old and was dx with a double ear infection and broncholitis(sp) yesterday. We were given amox to give twice a day for 10 days as well as breathing treatments 3 times a day for 5 days. My question is there anything I can do to prevent her from getting a yeast infection? TIA

Given that she is 7 mo. old you can break open a fresh accidophillus tablet, wet your finger, dip your finger in the granules, place your finger in her mouth while coating her mouth with it.

Where would I get that? I have never heard of them. I should say that she is only 14 lbs if that makes any difference on being able to give her the tablet.

Accidophillus is a probiotic that is part of a treatment for babies who have thrush. You can find out more about it through Dr. Newman. Try to google it.
Accidophillus tablets are in the health food stores. It will be in the refrigerator section. They come in 1200 mg tablets. You would use one per day.
If you do not feel comfortable using them after you have researched it, do not use it. It's possible your baby may not get a yeast infection.
