1. How do I get my daughter to get her night and days right due to she has them mixed up. she is 6 weeks old and i am returning back to work when she is 10 weeks old.
2. It seems i have better and more milk at night. She seems satisfied and has gained 3 lbs over her birth wt which was 7.09 and now wt 10lb 1 oz. I dont know if i have to build my supply. I'm getting 4 oz after feeding in morning. It all depends if I get to pump more during the day. we havent had much time to give bottles and me pumping to see what i get but the few bottles we have given she has done fine with. I can tell she favors the left breast over the right. I get more milk from that breast and she spends more time on that breast. is this anything to worry about?
3. She is slightly colicy and has reflux. well I dont know. dr prescribed prevacid yesterday because i am concerned with her constantly spitting up. she is breastfed and i dont think this is right. at times she will spit up while i am feeding her with no warning. she is strictly breastfed. now she isnt all of a sudden screaming. at night is her worst time. at times she is hungry but acts like she cant find my nipple when it is in her mouth. that is when i give her the maalox that dr recommended. it takes at least 3 hours or more to settle her down at night to go to bed no matter what i do.. burping/ diaper change/ bath/ lavender cream/ rocking/ singing/ sling/ walking around/ lying down with her. her favorite position is sitting straight up. i cant do that all day and night nor expect her daycare to do this. she finally is accepting sleeping in the carseat for past 2 nights and is lasting 3 hours inbetween feedings. but i cant lay her flat at all otherwise she chokes adn wakes up with in 15-30 min. i want her to be able to sleep in her crib like a normal person.
4. she wants to be held constantly. does this ever stop? It worries me that i will be returning back to work soon. I have been working on putting her in differ positions in the morning due to this is the best time of the day. lying her in her playpen which she begins choking/ when she begins fussing then i put her in her bouncy seat and lie on her stomach on the floor. after about 30 minutes she is fussy and wants to take a nap. she still wants to use me as a pacifier for security at times as well and i dont mind but what will happen when she goes to daycare. she does accept the binky.
5.at times she has grass green stools. dr said it is due to what i eat. yes i have had salads here and there but never when she has the green stools.
6. how much breastmilk should i leave for her when i start work and send her to daycare. i am worried of her getting enough and not wasting.
7. how long is a bottle good for after she has already eaten from it with bacteria in mouth concerns and what will happen if this does occur?. this is a big concern of mine. i dont want to have to waste.
8. i have read some of the other notes and it states too much fluid can decrease milk supply. how much is enough vs too much vs too little?
thank you,
very frustrated

I will try to answer your questions but you may benefit from a consult. See if you can find a lactation consultant near you.

Is it too quiet during the day and noisy at night?

You will always get more milk when you pump in place of a feeding as opposed to pumping after you feed her.

If she has reflex, she needs to be upright. Put the car seat in her crib.

4. she wants to be held constantly. does this ever stop? It worries me that i will be returning back to work soon. Babies who do not feel well are comforted by sucking.

5.at times she has grass green stools. dr said it is due to what i eat. yes i have had salads here and there but never when she has the green stools.

She may be getting too much foremilk.

6. how much breastmilk should i leave for her when i start work and send her to daycare. i am worried of her getting enough and not wasting.

This is based on her wt. If she has reflex, she should feed more frequently with smaller feedings.

7. how long is a bottle good for after she has already eaten from it with bacteria in mouth concerns and what will happen if this does occur?. this is a big concern of mine. i dont want to have to waste.

Store in small batches to avoid this. Use a fresh nipple if milk was re-refrigerated.

8. i have read some of the other notes and it states too much fluid can decrease milk supply. how much is enough vs too much vs too little?

Drink to thirst. Your urine is the best guide. Too dark, not enough. Take you body wt. and divide it by 1/2. This will give you an idea of the total oz. you should have per day. If you exercise you may need more.
