Hello all. I'm the mother of a 14 lb 3 month old baby boy. He did not take well to nursing and I am feeding him bm by bottle. My supply seems to keep dropping. A month ago, I could pump 6 to 8 oz every 3 hours or so in addition to nursing. Now, I pump less than 4 oz every two hours with occasional nursing. I also wondered about how many oz my baby should be taking and how often?

Supply equals demand. When supply drops it is usually due to something that has changed. What has changed since the 6-8 oz. every 3 hrs. Have you started any new meds? If your baby started nursing, I'm assuming he is taking some of the milk you were pumping directly from you.
Take your baby's wt. times 2.5 for an average of total ounces for the day. Divide by # of feedings for average intake per feeding. At 3 months, your baby will most likely feed 6-8 times per day.
