I got an invitation to a wedding shower and it says "come and go". I'm assuming that it means I don't have to stay for the whole two hours and that I can just come when I want to and leave when I want to. Right?

I'd guess it's probably like an open house, but I'd call the RSVP person and ask for sure.

That's what it sounds like. Two hours is pretty short, though, usually an "open house" is longer, allowing for people with different schedules to still make it to an event and perhaps go on to others at their convenience.
Two hour of come and go sounds to me like "come over, drop off your gift, snarf down a piece of cake and be on your way" LOL.
I would be disappointed to go to a shower and there not be a time where the guest of honor opened all the gifts.

That's what I was thinking too. It's like they are saying, drop off your gift, say hello and then leave.

It sounds like it means "Show up with a gift, and then get the hell out!" "lol9"

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this . . .LOL
I do think it means that it is an open house and they couldn't think of the word . . .
