my 2 week old seems to be doing great when nursing however he keeps getting sick and i mean alot hes putting out good amounts of wet diapers and bms that are good mustard color but it seems like he is hardly keeping anything in. also he only nurses for 10 mins on one side and that satisfies him for 2 to 3 hours i dont know if this is normal and then theres me i am having trouble getting him to take the breast in any other position other then cradle and in my attempts i have gotten very swollen sore nipples i have been using lanolin after every feed but they really hurt. when i am nursing i dont have that much discomfort other then the initial latch. at this point any advice would help
thank you

Well, if he is gaining well which I would certainly conclude based on what you have told me then 10 minutes probably gives him everything he needs. Lots of milk in the breast oftentimes means that it comes out FAST! I want you to try lying down to feed during the day time and see how that works. Position him under the breast so he has to tilt back to come on.
