Hi. I have a 3 month old baby and am exclusively breastfeeding him, he feeds from both breast about every 3 hours (he has reflux so he vomits a lot of it back up after I feed him). I pump once per day, in the evening around 8pm while my husband feeds our son a bottle of my pumped milk before he goes to bed. When I pump, I sometime get 6oz and sometimes it's hard to even get 4oz. our baby takes 5 oz in his bottle before bed. I would like to store up some milk in the fridge/freezer in case of emergencies or just to have if we go out and get a babysitter. What's the best way to do this without starving my baby?

Pumping the opposite breast 1st thing in the morning works great for getting extra milk. Give it a try.

While he is feeding on the other breast.

Thanks. So just give him 1 side first thing in the morning and pump the other? Will he be upset he's only getting 1 side?

Most babies only need one side per feeding but it depends on how much milk your breasts store. Try it and see what happens.
