Hi, My 2 mo. old daughter has had thrush on her tongue and i have had it on my nipples for a while now. I was prescribed Fluconazole and I felt better for a few days. However, my daughter is on her 2nd round of Nystatin and it isn't going away so we are basically passing the thrush back and forth! Any suggestions on something else that can help us both get rid of it. I have heard ginger ale, and also some stuff (forgot the name) that will stain purple! anything info. would be helpful. thanks

There are Nystatin resistant strands of yeast. If your daughter hasn't improved, I would discuss with your pediatrician another treatment option. The purple staining medication is gentian violet. I do not want to recommend any medications to you, but you can research this on Kellymom.com. I would get your peds approval before using it.
Some pediatricians will give Diflucan to babies. Here is more info on the drug you are taking:
