Hi can anyone tell me if you can cook with breast milk?
Thanks

You can, but I don't see much benefit. Heating it beyond the point of just warming it would destroy much of the benefits it provides.
What were you thinking of making with it?

Cool:).
It doesn't lose benefits that way? I thought that much heating destroyed enzymes and immunities. No?

I'm sure it looses benefits, just like homogenizing cow milk destroys it's "live" parts, too. But it's still species specific milk, which probably still makes more sense than than cooking with cow milk (FTR, I cook with cow milk since I don't have an excessive freezer stash:)).

Awesome I was wondering the same thing.
I started making oatmeal for DD and using BM but I was afraid it might not be able to stand the heat while softening the oats. But she likes it. I also mix it with mashed bananas or softened apples w/cinnamon.
Great link medelsmama!
