Do any of you have graphic design degrees?

If so, do you enjoy it? Are there jobs in the field? (I have a bachelor of arts in individual studies, but it is so broad there really isn't anything other than social work) It is something I have always loved, but thought more of as a hobby - I doubt that I will go back to school as I am already going to die paying off my student loan, but still thinking about if it would be worth it to go back or not?

I have a certificate so for me the job market is minimal. If you have a bachelors degree in graphic design, there are jobs out there. Every city's market is different though. Jobs are often based on performance and they are very competitive. It would be a fun job though.

Look to start at a sign company or other advertiser. They often let you begin doing free lance stuff. Most of my college friends started there, until they were discovered.

I earned an AA in Commercial Arts nearly 19 years ago. Been working in the field for 18+ years now. I LOVE it. Aside from working in the newspaper industry, I also do freelance work from home.
