It's not all the time but sometimes when I stand up too fast or I move too quick I feel dizzy and a little faint. If I sit down again it goes away. This hasn't been going on too awful long, but it does get quite annoying when I am trying to get things done. Sometimes it hits me while Im shoping or something and I feel like I am going to fall over.

I just saw my midwife last week and my blood pressure was perfect so I don't think it's that. What else could it be?

ETA: Im 22 weeks pregnant for those who can't see my signature.

Maybe you are a little anemic??? Could just be a little low blood sugar. I felt like that sometimes with DS2. Eat something sweet or keep some juice with you. Might help.

No! Don't eat anything sweet, it will cause a crash. Crashing can cause horrible headaches. Try to eat a complex carb and a protein. WW crackers with pb, some string cheese. Even an apple and a few crackers is better than juice.

Drink plenty of water. Dehydration can make you dizzy. Is it hot where you are?

yes, very hot outside, but I still get dizzy inside too. I haven't had my iron levels checked since I started this pregnancy, maybe that could be it too.

The same thing happened to me while I was pregnant with both my boys and my iron and bp was always fine. My doctor said that things like this happen, we are bigger (gaining weight), are bodies are feeding two, sometimes we don't sleep well and circulation can be poor (which is why you feel faint when you stand up to quickly). Whenever you get those feelings of exhaustion just have a seat and drink some water and relax. Could it be that you are just over exerting yourself these days? How is you diet? Are you sleeping well? Any stress?
I know it can be annoying to feel like crap--I was pregnant, taking care of my 2 year old AND going to school full time. Eventually, I just had to realize that I couldn't "do it all". The pregnancy was having a strain on me. I would definitely tell your doc/midwife how you are feeling and get your iron checked just in case. I hope you feel better soon!

In all of my pregnancy books it talks about this. When you sit or stand, the baby limits some of your circulation then when you change positions, it sends a rush through your body. I had high blood pressure, but I thought it was this before i got it checked.

thanks ladies...

cherlyn, hell yes I am busy. LOL. I have a 9 year old that just went back to school, my 2 1/2 year old son and my 3 year old nephew to take care. Dh works 12-14 hour days so I don't really get much of a break. I am also a full time student, and maid, and chef, and everything else. LOL.....
Stress has been higher lately too, we just moved a month ago and I am trying to unpack everything still amongst everything else.

so yes, a lot going on. Im eating and sleeping as well as can be expected I suppose. Im thinking of taking next quarter off of school so I can focus on my family and bringing this baby into the world.

I dropped out of school near the end as well, school had turned out to be an INSANE stress on me. With all the reading, tests, reports, and homework, I had NO time to relax.

Can you take an online class instead of live? That's what I did with dd2.

Now, with ds, I went right up to the day after exams ended (I was also due Dec. 25). I had a work party Dec. 19, the day I went to the hospital for a slow leak (not actually in active labor, but leaking amniotic fluid all over). I had him at 12:20am on 12/20. I missed my party, but not my accounting exam on the 18th. "lol9"

If I had it to do over, I would not have gone full time that term. I got my worst grade ever that semester: a B- in Accounting 2. I nearly cried.

I have been taking online classes, but I am getting to the point where the classes I need to be taking are not offered online because they are more hands on with labs, like chemistry and stuff. there is one i can take online, but the other two must be done on campus. I have to stay above 12 credit hours to keep getting my financial aid.

I don't think so. You can go half time, 6 credit hours, and they will give you less financial aid (1/2 the amount). You could also take 9 ch and get 3/4 of your financial aid. You have to stay above 12 ch to get FULL financial aid.

yeah, this quarter I need my full financial aid refund. I plan to use it to buy the things my kids need for the winter and things we need for the baby.

Ok. That makes NO sense whatsoever. You need the full refund, so you are going to drop out and get nothing instead of a partial refund.

I would at least go for half. Half IS better than NOTHING.

no im not going to drop out. LOL. i was thinking about taking this quarter off but I need the money too badly to do that, so I am enrolling full time in order to keep getting my finacial aid.
