Full riot gear is so hot.

Those poor cops are sweating buckets. And thirsty!!

(why are they blasting Like A Virgin?)

I don't think it's the cops doing that.

Fing Anarchists, who can explain why they do anything they do. :)

It pisses me off that there are people who can't protest peacefully.

The article said that at least 284 had been arrested.

I'm not challenging you, I just want to make sure I'm clear. You're angry at the protesters who choose to protest not peacefully or you're angry at the police for not allowing protesters to protest peacefully? I think you're saying the former.

I have to say, I miss Creme during protest times as she's got an inside view of them and can offer insights I don't have.

I do feel a bit more protective about MN as I'm from there and am fond of it. Protests, certainly violent protests are certainly not the norm there. We managed to win the World Series twice in the late 80's early 90's and there wasn't a single riot.

Of course, I'm saying the former since we're talking about people who were not protesting peacefully. However, if it were a peaceful event, I would be equally angry if the police were not allowing them to protest (assuming laws were being followed).
