Has anyone used the newer Medela "Freestyle" pump? It's hands-free but my interest in it is because the pump itself is very small and light weight - easy to carry around for a working mom. My husband thinks there's no way that b/c of it's small size it can really do the job. Any one have one?

I have seen it and it looks really neat, but have not tried it. I have found my Medela pump in style to work well.

I have this pump...bought it about 4mo. ago and it is fabulous! I went from renting a hospital grade medela pump to this pump. I was afraid that the small pump would not be as effective as emptying my breast as the hospital grade one. I have to say it has worked wonderfully and I have seen no difference in my pumping outputs!

Its an awesome pump. I have to pump 3x a day at work and this pump makes it so easy. Its light weight and pumps on a rechargeable batter (if you want, you could aslo pump with it pluged in). I can pump all week (5 days) without having to charge it.

I love it and think it is a fabulous investment specially if you are considering having more children.

Thanks for your reply. Now I just have to convince the hubby that it's a worthwhile investment. Thanks again and happy pumping!

I'm trying to figure out what makes it "hands free". Can't any electric pump be hands free if you have a pumping bra?

It comes with these straps you attached to your bra to make it hands free. Thats the only part of the pump I don't like. I think the bra thing works better.
