Ah, confusion.

I glimpsed 245 this morning.

Went to work, did my workout, had a meeting, went to work, grocery shopped, and cooked dinner. I am so ready to sit and relax.

I did the 2.5 circuits, a few crunches and a plank. Not sure what day I will get there next week.

The treadmill is now in the living room. I am a step closer to using it. I think I am going to go look at the C25K site again and maybe try that.

All four of us did go for a walk this afternoon to the dead end of our road. It is probably a mile round trip. Maybe a little more as I have never checked. I did jog a little of it with DS.

I think I did pretty well with food today. I'm gonna be honest and say I am no longer counting my points. Just trying to make much wiser choices. Counting points for the last 7 weeks was definitely an eye opener for me in how much I was eating.

I did drink a few to many calories today. I had a large glass of juice earlier. It was diluted a little but still a lot of calories. My throat is starting to hurt like my sinuses are draining. Blech. I also drank a large glass of chocolate Silk Soy milk. That stuff is pretty good. Drank that just because. I am sure I have no room left for an evening snack so I will drink another glass of water and just go to bed. Maybe some sexercise.

:) Good day! Even your drinks weren't that bad. Congrats on the weigh in! I am so happy for you, you're really doing it girl! 14 pounds is amazing progress and you're so close to you first goal! http://bestsmileys.com/clapping/4.gif

Keep up the good work. Oh, and I'm happy to hear you finally got the treadmill moved...just goes to show that dedication and persistence pay off...lol! Have fun tonite. http://bestsmileys.com/wink/1.gif

It is actually my second mini goal. The first one was 250 pounds. This one is 240 and I think the next is going to be 225.

Didn't burn much last night during sexercise. We were pretty tame. :o

When I joined Curves before I got pregnant I had made a vow to myself that I wouldn't get on the computer unless I went to the gym first. It worked very well for me that time so I am going to try it again.

It won't apply to days that I work as I already have to get up at 5:30 in order to get everybody up and ready those days. I usually check my emails while I eat my breakfast. But on days I don't work that will be my goal. NO COMPUTER UNTIL I DO MY TREADMILL. Hopefully I can even do it after I get off work some days before I get on the computer. That will also depend on whether I will be able to get into Curves or not. I can only go the days my friend works and she won't be working on Monday or Tuesday while I am in town. Maybe Wednesday though I will have time and then again on Friday if nothing major changes.

This is what I did on the treadmill today though, 30 minutes, 1.45 miles, burned 186 calories according to the readout. Not sure how accurate it is but it will work for me. I am also going to break down my 30 minutes so I have a visual reminder and goals.

3 min 2.5mph
1 min 3.5mpg jogging
4 min 2.8mph
1 min 3.7mph jogging
6 min 2.9mph
1 min 3.7mph jogging
6 min 2.8mph
3 min 3.0mph
3 min 2.4mph
2 min 2.0mph cool down

Overall I think I did very well.

Great job on the 14lbs!

It is a good idea to move the treadmill to the living room-then hopefully you can watch something entertaining while you work-out to help the time go by. I've started renting the seasons of Nip/Tuck from Netflix to help me through my elliptical workouts. It really does help!

Keep up the good work!

zinkemomx2
10-21-2007, 04:42 PM
I wish I could watch what I wanna watch. More than likely it will end up being Elmo, Barney, or someone else equally annoying. Anything to keep the kids entertained and their fingers out of the way. The only time I get a chance to watch what I wanna is after they are in bed and I am not sure if the treadmill will wake them up. It is an older model and seems very loud to me.

My main goal is to not get on the computer before walking.

I glimpsed 244 this morning. I am sure it is only dehydration though as I have been sick for the last few days. My throat still hurts to eat or drink much so I will continue to take it easy and just concentrate on my liquids.

I'm sorry about your throat, that sucks. I like how you're motivating yourself with the treadmill though. I try to do the same with my soaps, if I want to watch them I have to do the treadmill for a little bit. You are doing so good!! Get in your water today and have a great one!

I need to confess.:(

Before I started counting points I was a regular weekly visitor of McD's. I ate lunch there twice a week. Typically I ordered a double cheeseburger with no pickle, a chicken sandwich with extra mayo, and two apple pies. What a great deal for $3.18. NOT!

The only thing I have eaten from there in the last 8 weeks has been Southwestern Salad or a side salad and 4 piece nuggets. I have been doing great with my ordering.

Not so much today. I wanted comfort food and guess what I ordered? Yup. The old usual. Then I proceeded to eat all of it and immediately felt like crap. The grease sat in my stomach and made me want to hurl. It was a great lesson on why I don't eat like that anymore.

Dinner was some chicken, mashed potato w/gravy, wax beans. No dessert tonight.

hollydawn
10-23-2007, 08:22 PM
Don't beat yourself up. You slipped up and now you can move on. It's great that you didn't continue to eat poorly because you slipped a little. You skipped dessert and that is great!

Old habits die hard - eventually we will get better at this!

Keep up the good work. I'm glad you're feeling better.

zinkemomx2
10-24-2007, 04:48 AM
I HATE being sick. I crave comfort food so bad. It is a good thing it doesn't happen all that often.

I did end up eating dessert. I tape Biggest Loser while DH watches NCIS and the Unit. So I stayed up so I could watch my show after he was done watching his. Does it make any sense at all that while I was watching BL I was eating two FF chocolate pudding cups? Then I didn't get to sleep until 11:30 when I should have been in bed early so I could get over this dang sore throat.

Good thing I am going to Curves after work today.

zinkemomx2
10-24-2007, 12:22 PM
I ate to much sausage this morning. :(

But, I made it to Curves after work. I am slowly doing a few extra things every time I go. Today was some crunches, two planks, two balance things, sitting on the wall and a set of lunges. I am also thinking about hopping on the treadmill for a few minutes while DH has the kids outside.

I am also going to Curves again on Friday.

244 again this morning. :D

Breakfast was good. Two servings oatmeal w/diced apple and cinnamon and 1 egg w/2 egg whites, a few bacon bits, and a sprinkling of cheese.

I also just got off the treadmill. 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. Approx 200 calories burned. My biggest accomplishment though was the few minutes I walked at 4.5mph. Then I jogged for 30 seconds at 4.7mph. I also ran twice at 5.2 mph!!!! Both runs were about 20 seconds each.

Serial posting because it is my thread, lol.

I also had the trainer at Curves do my measurements. I cannot believe I am going to post them here but I wanna be able to show my progress.

Please stop reading if you don't want to have visuals on how fat I am. Just seeing these numbers kinda grosses me out and I live in this body. I can only imagine what it might do to others.

Bust 51
Waist 49.5
Abdomen 55
Hips 50
Thighs 26.25
Arms 16.25
Weight on their scale at 12:15pm dressed 249.4
Body fat % 45.7
That calculates out to a BMI of 40.6

I'll give their scale credit though. It was at noon. I had already been up for 7 hours and I was wearing clothes. It is the one I will be doing my measurements on for the club. I did tell her I liked mine LOTS better though.

I am to the point it doesn't matter what the scale actually says. As long as the number is getting smaller I am happy.

I need to figure out how to do my signature so I can have my weight ticker or something there.

244 pounds for the 6th day in a row. I am very pleased I am holding steady with the way I have been eating this last week.

Yesterday for example.
Breakfast, 2 sausage, cheese muffins
Snack, 6 fig newtons
Lunch, McD's crispy chicken sandwich meal. Shared the fries and pop with DH.
Snack, 1/3 pound Murdock's chocolate pecan fudge
Dinner, Subway 6" Sweet onion teriyaki sub,
Snack, fun size hershey bars

The sub was the only good thing I ate yesterday.

I was so looking forward to getting on the treadmill this morning but my neck hurts way to bad. Damn stress and tension ache.

I almost fell off the page there has been so much traffic. What a great thing!

It is confession time. I quit counting my points on the 20th. In the time since I have gained at least 3 pounds back. I have been eating horribly and it certainly shows. As of yesterday I was back up to 247. I was down to 244. I know it is only three pounds but it is proving to me that I need to be accountable to myself.

I vow to start counting my points again as of today. So far I have eaten 32-33. No snacks for me tonight.

Tuesday the 6th will be 10 weeks. As of right now I am down 12 pounds.

Tomorrow I will try to walk on the treadmill before I go to town. I will also be going to Curves. I spoke with a friend today and as soon as her company leaves and she gets her house back we are going to start a little friendly competition. Every time one of us works out we are going to call and brag to encourage the other to do more. I thrive on that kind of competition.

I think my scale is messing with me. Seriously. I watched those 3 pounds creep on and stay there for nearly a week. I decided yesterday that I needed to start counting again. I stepped on the scale this morning and all three pounds were GONE! I swear I could almost hear the scale laughing at me.

I made it to Curves this morning. Had a great workout. 3 full circuits, a bunch of crunches, some lunges and some upper back things. My abs are killing me and it feels great.

Yaaahhhh ME!

We are getting our holiday photos done this weekend. We are really casual people so I found two mens long sleeved white t-shirts for DH and I. I have the same brand in short sleeve that are a bit older but I bought the same size, mens 2X. I came home and tried it on and it feels HUGE!!! I am sure I could probably shrink it down but I am going to return it and get myself something smaller.

As far as the scale, I am hovering around 244-245. Damn Halloween candy. Good thing there isn't much left that I like. I haven't been binging on it, just a piece or two after dinner. Usually fun size bars. But that adds up to 5-7 points that I haven't been taking into consideration. I will be doing a little extra at Curves tomorrow thats for sure.

Wow I am way down the page! :(

I have been doing okay. Hovering between 243-245. Not bad considering one day I eat well and the next horrible. No exercise either. Between both jobs I feel as though I am running constantly. It is less than 20 hours a week total but it is wiping me out.

Right now I am a wreck. I think I have made a very large boo-boo. It seems that one day I mistakenly rearranged my debit cards in my wallet. I have two identical cards. One for the joint account and one for my account. I specifically keep them in different spots so that I don't have to think about it. They do have different expiration dates and that is how I usually tell them apart if needed.

I have been using cash to pay for groceries for the last 5-6 months. I forgot to take any and didn't realize it until I was in the checkout. No big deal I think. I can use the debit card for the joint account and just deposit the money in the morning. My PIN wouldn't work. I tried twice and then grabbed the other card and tried the same PIN. It didn't work either. I ended up writing a check off my account. They are the only checks I carry. There wasn't going to be enough money in that account so I came home and transferred money from the joint to cover it.

Then last night I sat down to pay bills. I pay a lot of things online and pulled out what I thought was the joint debit card. Ahhh, the weekly bills are all paid.

Fast forward to this afternoon. I stopped at the other grocery store to finish picking up things for Thanksgiving dinner. Pulled out what I thought was MY debit card and it wouldn't accept my PIN. Grabbed the other card and swiped that one. It wouldn't accept the PIN either. Finally used the credit function to pay for the groceries.

I get home to find a message from my electric company that my payment got debited twice and she will be crediting the second transaction back but it may take a few days. I start looking at the bills I paid last night and now I am beginning to think I paid most of them with my account. That is NOT good. There isn't even close to enough to cover things if they start bouncing.

I guess I need to stop at the bank in the morning and figure out what I am going to do. I do have overdraft protection on my account but I don't want to pay NSF fees. URGHHH!!!! I could cry. :(

I just got off my bank site. I THINK I am okay and that I used the correct card when paying all the bills. Whew. I feel lots better now.

Now if I had time to get anything done this week. Today I have my book job. Tomorrow we are celebrating Thanksgiving at home. Thursday we are going to the MIL. Friday I have to work Blitz all day plus try to fit in a book visit.

zinkemomx2
12-07-2007, 07:22 PM
I almost couldn't find my journal it was so far down the page. That is not good.

What I am going to consider good though is the fact that I have not been counting my points since mid October and I am still hovering between 243 and 245. That pleases me that I haven't gained any weight.

I haven't been on the treadmill much either. I am trying to make a new commitment to starting over. I was going through my books the other night and ran across my copy of Body Clutter by Flylady. I only made it about half way through when I bought it a year ago. I started rereading and I am going to make the baby steps needed to get this weight off.

For the last few weeks my eating has been pretty crappy but since I haven't gained anything I am going to start concentrating on my workouts. When I workout regularly my food progress usually follows naturally. So my new goal is going to be to 500 minutes a month of exercise. That is only 30 minutes, 4 times a week. I can do that! I am a week behind so I have some catching up to do.

My goal/todays minutes/minutes left
500/0/500

Now off to start my new evening routine so I am in bed by 10pm. Night ladies

The_Babycakes
12-07-2007, 07:45 PM
Good to see ya! I think that sounds like a good plan and 30 minutes/4 times a week is not that bad, you definitely can do it. Try not to look at it as work or a chore, but look for something you find exciting and fun. If anything, consider it 'me' time. Good Luck!

After everybody was sleeping I sat down with the hand weights and did some other stuff on the floor. A bunch of core things and I can feel those already.

I never made it on the treadmill today. :( We put up the tree Saturday afternoon and while the treadmill is still in the living room I am not sure I have room to open it up. I'll probably have to juggle furniture every time I want to use it. No point putting it in the office though because I have some stuff I need to get rid of first. Old suitcases anyone?

12-13-2007, 09:43 AM
437-32=405 Today was the treadmill. 1.73 miles

I skipped the last two days. I gotta quit doing that.

Please everyone keep your fingers crossed. DH's unemployment runs out in 2 weeks. He has finally gotten desperate enough to realize he might have to go over the road at least until spring. He had an interview earlier in the week and when he first went to the interview he thought it was going to be over the road, gone 2-3 weeks at a time.

It isn't. It is a dedicated run and he would only be gone M-F and it pays more than he has ever made before. He is taking his drug test right now and they are just waiting for the last few things to come back from his background check. It will all be clean but they have to tie up all those loose ends on paper. He should start early next week.

I made some smoked sausage for dinner last night. I don't remember the brand exactly but it was Healthy Choice type. It was so salty I could only eat a few bites. Hopped on the scale this morning and I was up 3! pounds. I'm gonna have to drink like 2 gallons of water to flush all the sodium out today.

I think there will be a few changes with the menu around here if DH is gone all week long. Healthy food here we come.

No treadmill today either. I am going to try in the morning before things get busy. We have a birthday party to go to in the early afternoon. I have to pick up a few things from the store. Then I need to help DH finish packing because he leaves to start work bright and early Monday morning.

I am going to be counting calories with sparkpeople. Here is my breakdown for the last three days. 12/14 was really bad because we had pizza. With DH gone I am sure I won't be eating that any time soon. Other than the pizza putting me over I am pretty pleased with myself. I am eating WAY to much salt though. Most of that today was the soup I ate with lunch. The Progresso Light Southwestern one. Delicious. I am going to make some homemade either this week or next.

Weekly Progress:
NUTRIENTS: GOAL 12/13 12/14 TODAY
Calories: 1710 - 2060 1,758 2,664 1,837
Fat: 44 - 76 46 106 38
Carbohydrates: 220 - 318 233 338 283
Protein: 60 - 172 57 100 65
Fiber, : 25 - 35 20 27 21
Sodium, Na: 0 - 2300 4,497 5,353 6,620

That table looks so much better before I hit enter. Sigh.

I have been back to trying to watch what I eat and I am back down to 242. Not quite the 240 goal I had planned for the new year but close. The tree is finally down so I have room to open the treadmill. I will be on it as soon as my company leaves this afternoon. :)

You know it is very sad that I almost like being sick. I have been feeling pretty crappy for the last week. We all have colds and have not been sleeping or eating well. I am down to 240. Last time I got sick and lost a few pounds from dehydration I was able to keep it off when I started feeling better. Lets hope it holds true again. I am at my lightest weight since before pregnancy. I was 231 during the first few weeks of my pregnancy. The lowest I got postpartum before was 244 so I am pretty excited.

I finally managed to get on the treadmill today. 40 minutes that totally kicked my behind. I haven't been on it since the 1st. January exercise minutes so far 117.

I am also a little sad that the scale was back up to 242 this morning. Not sure what is up with that. I don't think I ate that bad the last few days. Oh well, I'll work it off eventually I am sure. I am participating in the 3FC Biggest Loser challenge starting this week. I think today was the start of weigh ins. I need to get some before/after photos taken.

I started thinking back to my highest weights. Pre-pregnancy high weight was 261. My lowest pre-pregnancy adult weight was 237 and that was probably the week I got pregnant in Feb 04. I did get down to 231 in April 04 while pregnant. I was not yet aware that I was having twins and I was still eating really well and going to Curves 6 days a week.

Fast forward a few more months. I delivered the kids at 284 pounds in September 04. I got down to 244 around March 05. Then I started gaining. I was 274 in Feb 06. Feb 07 I was 270. I have lost approx 30 pounds in the last year. My goal for this challenge is to get down to 230. That will be my lowest adult weight EVER!

31 minutes of treadmill today. That makes 148 for the month. I was doing intervals and ran 4-5 times. Only 3.8-4.2 but it is a start.

I am recommitting to WW. It worked last fall and I lost 14 pounds in less than 8 weeks. This last 3 months all I have done is float three pounds. I'm sick of it.

B - 7 points .5 egg, 3 egg whites, 1 serving old fashioned oats w/sugar free maple syrup, 2 turkey sausage links

Lunch will be out with the sister in law. We do McD's unfortunately. I will be having a bacon ranch salad w/grilled chicken and a child size orange pop. I also ate about half a small fry. Total points 14.

Dinner will be soup for another 5-6 points max. That will leave me plenty of points for snacks.

Congrat's on recommitting, that's a big step in the right direction. I think you could totally reach your goal and some. Keep getting on the treadmill and counting your points and you'll be seeing results in no time. :)

I got my new WATP Walk and Jog today. I did it all and nothing, or rather no one, on it annoyed me. :) I have another video coming next week. I also bought some 5 pound weights today. The store was out of 8 pounders but I will look for them soon.
