Yesterday I noticed DS (17 months) was starting to get a rash. I first I noticed tiny spots on his face. At bath time I noticed it was pretty much all over his torso and starting to go to his legs. This morning it is still all over his torso (front and back), some on the back of neck, both thighs and some on his arms.
I did buy a new kind of laundry soap, does this look like that kind of reaction? I have not washed his clothes in the new soap, just one load has been done in it...DH's clothes and mine.
He tried a milk drink yesterday as well (neither of my kids really drink whole milk, but have never had this kind of reaction to any other diary). Does it look like it could be food allergy rash?
At first I was thinking Roseola but I really don't know!!
He had a low grade fever yesterday, has been extra fussy and his appetite is down. Help!!

I would take him to the pedi. The rash looks like hives too me, but I was told to bring the kids in if there is a rash and a fever.

It could be allergic, but the fever has me a little confused. i would give him some benedryl and call the ped in the morning. Does it seem to itch?

Could be hives. I would definitely go to the ped for that one. Takes the pictures with you. Hives change really fast and you want to be able to show those in case it changes.

It doesn't seem to be really bothering him. Every now and then he will itch at it but he isn't messing with it all the time to tell me he is uncomfortable.

When my DH broke out in hives from a reaction to penicillin, he ran a fever too.
The widepspread reaction is what worries me. How long has he had this rash? How quickly has it spread? Is it getting worse?

The fever could mean almost anything. One of my daycare kids had gotten into JetDry at home once. She had a rash and low-grade fever. It took us days to figure out what was causing it!
I would give him benedryl as well.

I noticed a little on his face yesterday when he woke up from his afternoon nap. Noticed his torso last night and the start of his legs. Yes, I would say it is worse then it was yesterday.

And what milk drink did her drink yesterday?

It is called Pro Bugs Organic Whole Milk. It is a cultured milk smoothie that is naturally flavored.

my mom told me not to give ds any berries because it could give a reaction. Not sure if thats true , has any one heard of that?

Hmm, either way I would call his pedi and see if it warrants a trip to the ER, or just an office visit tomorrow.

It looks like an allergic reaction to something. I would give benadryl and call the ped.

I have heard not to give strawberries but that is it.

I watched my kids really close for reactions to strawberries and blackberries, because their daddy and grandpa would have a reaction only if the juice would get on their skin when they were little.

I am going to place a call into the on call nurse today and try to describe symptoms over the phone. If she tells me to take him in today I will. Otherwise, I will call tomorrow morning to make a appointment for sometime tomorrow.

Both ds and I have run fevers when we've had allergic reactions.

It looks like hives, which could result from topical allergies or allergies to something he ate. I'd likely go to the ped since it looks to me like a heavy duty reaction.

Poor lil dude. I hope it goes away fast!
