Westwood college in their online program. They have amazing life long support after grauduation.
They say I'm a perfect fit for them, but I really can't justify not using a community college which will be nearly free for me.
Their support is awesome. The lady I was on the phone follows the students she is assigned to throughout their time at that college and she'd said she'd be at my graduation yelling and waving as I crossed the stage. It's cool that they give you someone to track you and help you throughout your stay there.
I told them I'll think about transferring there after getting community college out of the way due to the money factor. She wants me to call FAFSA because she said my situation is "tricky" after she talked to a financial aid person there.

My poor son didn't have a very good day today. I got three calls from colleges and he pretty much had to play on his own most of the day. It feels like I'm in high school again. lol

Sounds high for tuition alone for an in-state, state school. Frankly, otherwise, that is on the low side of reality.

Yeah it's private, not a state school. I just can't afford private. I'm so glad that community college is available.

Can you do as much as possible at the community college and then transfer in later, to cut down on cost?

Actually the college counselor I just went to see suggested a community college (in a town I've never heard of, but hey I'm new here) that does tons of stuff online so I can stay at home with my son. :D

I worked with the gifted students last year at my school. I learned that private schools have hundreds of thousands of scholarships. Check out fast web and see if you qualify for anything. Also, go in and talk to someone if you can, they may offer you money if you help them in some way.
Example - my brother's ex is getting a huge discount on college tuition for being a single mom then her financial aid pays the after the discount, then the school gave her some scholarship money.
You can find scholarships for being left handed, having two eye colors, working for some places... etc. Private schools dont look at income as much as the state schools do for grants so income isnt the only factor in aid for them.
All I am saying is talk to someone in person, write down their name, and call again, before you make up your mind. If you play hardball, sometimes the tuition keeps going down.

I know some places like to have family members of alumni. My great-grandmother graduated from Standford. Maybe I'll use that. lol
