Ship was owned by the Ukraine, but "it was carrying 33 Russian-designed T-72 tanks" which were purchased & being delivered to Kenya.

The Ukrane, Poland, Yugoslavia, and Czechloslovakia all had manufacuring facilities for the Soviet designed T-72. As the Ukraine was part of the Soviet union at the time, It makes about as much sense to say that the F-22 is a Georgian deisign, the B-52 was a Washingtonian design, and the F-16 is a Texan design.


I doubt they will be able to do much of anything with the tanks.

The RPGs and other small arms worry me much more, as they are able to be easly offloaded and resold throuhjhout the world.
