Hi all!

Just wondering.....at what age did you guys start giving your LO's biscuits to chew on. I'm pretty sure DD is teething and I am thinking about buying those baby biscuits. We just started solids a few weeks ago. So far she's had bananas, applesauce and peaches with some cereal mixed in. She seems to do fine, I don't give her solids everyday, maybe every other.
Thoughts????

Bleh... they are gross. My MIL gave them to her once and they are such a mess. We prefer teethers you toss in the fridge.

I do give her teethers but she always drops them, plus I feel like they make her hands FREEZING and she's umcomfortable. I can see the cookies being a mess, LOL. I guess my concern is her choking, if I do give her one, I will be sitting right next to her though.

I've never given either of my children those. They're a choking hazard, among other things.

I agree with Dewoman - I think I gave a teething biscuit ONCE, and that was it. THey are so gross and messy.

ITA with NOT giving them to my babies. Yuck!

Teething biscuits are in the same category as baby cereal, for me...both in a not to give to baby category. But that's just me:)

I worried about them being a choking hazard. I did get DD try one after a year old when she was teething and she didn't care for them.

Thanks everyone! I am going to pass on them for now, as I am concerned about choking as well.

They are meant to dissolve quickly so they are NOT a choking hazard, which is why they are so messy. Shay liked them. Also the melba toast works well.

OMG they are HORRIBLE!!!

We gave DD1 a teething biscut once she was 8 months and a HUGE chunk broke off and she was choking and turned blue it was horrible...... I DO NOT Recommend them.

What about a cold washrag, those mesh feeders with some frozen bm?

The one DD had did not dissolve quickily. I think it was called a biter biscuit.

Yup. i did give one to DD when she was about 9 months old, and she nearly choked on it. Then threw it all up, because it ended up having dairy in it. They are a hazard. They may disolve smei quickly, but they can still break off in big peices.

They are just yucky. I'd skip them.

I used to wet a baby wash rag and freeze it. Rylan loved chewing on the frozen cloth when he was teething. We also used Hyland's teething tablets. Those really seemed to help ease his discomfort. I never used the teething cookies.
