belly hurting and burping alot

Lately Kayden has been crying his belly hurts and then a few minutes later he burps alot. Last night he woke us up at one doing the same thing. Could this mean anything? I remember when I had to get my gallbladder taken out I had such bad heartburn it hurt so bad I cried.

Has his diet changed?
how old is he?
do you give him tums or maalox or similar to see if it helps?
talk to his doctor if it continues.

he just turned 3 no diet change. I usually dont give him anything just didnt know what was wrong or if he can that stuff like tums.
