Spotting during 2nd trimester?

I have been having some pink spotting on and off for the past week. Is this normal? I'm going to the doctor Wednesday morning. This is my 4th baby and I have never had any kind of bleeding. I'm scared to death something is wrong. It mainly happens after being up and cleaning house. Also, I am 19 weeks along. Anyone had any experience with this?

I don't know if it is normal, but have spotted a few times during this pregnancy. I'm 19 or 20 weeks along. The few times I've spotted it's been after intercourse and the blood is pinkish brown (sorry TMI). I really don't worry about it that much.

I hope everything is okay! My only experiences with spotting were in first trimester.

I woudl call the doc to be on the safe side. Also take it easy because you may be over doing it

Well, everything seems to be okay. They said that it was probably blood vessels rupturing on my cervix. I've never had that before, but there is a first time for everything.

I'm glad everything is okay! I had spotting with my youngest in my third trimester & they told me the exact same thing that it was probably due to vessels rupturing.

I had spotting in the first half of my second pregnancy and in the last half of my first pregnancy.. I suspect its a lot more common than doctors let on.

Its hormones or irritations on the cervix. I just don't even worry about it now so long as the baby is active and developing fine.

My husband and I even developed a nickname for it.. "cranky cervix."
