My LO Ashton sticks everything in his mouth from hands to feet and everything in between. He pulls his toys, clothes, my hair and hands and so much more and tries to eat them. He is constantly drooling, and has been since he was born almost 5 months ago. I know babies do this but to do it all the time? My DS1 never put anything in his mouth, and now with DS2 I have to watch him like a hawk until he slows down or stops trying to do this lol. Oh and his clothes are always soaked with drool.
I am afraid once he starts crawling he will be into everything. Talk about night and day between my 2 boys.

My DD drooled a lot around that age too. I thought for sure she'd cut teeth soon. She didn't get her first tooth until 8mo. Now, at 10mo., she has 3 teeth (fourth one just poked through yesterday) but doesn't drool nearly as much as she did when she was younger, without teeth. So weird.

But the putting things in her mouth thing drives me crazy!! If there is a crumb or fuzz on the floor she will find it!! She'll even pull a lose hair of carpet out if she see's it popping out and put it in her mouth and suck on it! She's manage to find a piece of dog food (at least its organic lol..)and suck on that. She's as bad as the dogs if you drop something on teh floor...so I'm sorry to say I don't know if it will get any better but it has made me keep my house extra clean :D

With my dd the drooling starting in the fall/winter. I got some bibs with vinyl backs and I put them under her shirt, over her onesie. Like that only the top shirt was soaked, but she was dry.

But now with Ashton I am kinda scared to decorate cause he will be into everything!!! What am I going to do LOL

You describe all three of my children. They all were/are droolers and they all put EVERYTHING in their mouths. Drives me nuts as I can only imagine the germs etc. they are ingesting. Now that DD is crawling my floor is swept several times a day so keep her from eating the crumbs that her brothers drop.

I experienced that with my two girls...they were totally different babies! DD1 didn't put things in her mouth, but DD2 put EVERYTHING in her mouth. It has gotten quite a bit better now that she is older (she's 16 months), but we still watch her closely.
