Rylan hates hair cuts. I usually take him to a children's salon. He always ends up crying. Last time I took him, the hair dresser cut his ear with the scissors. His hair is getting long again so I decided to cut it myself. It's a disaster. He still hated the hair cut and it looks like I ran over his head with a lawn mower. Oh well, at least it has time to grow out before Christmas pictures.

I haven't even tried. I can't draw a straight line with a ruler, so I can't imagine what I would do with a pair of scissors.
On the bright side, you have a memory for the baby book and he is too young to care.

LOL, you would think that as a hairstylist I would at least be able to cut a straight line in a peice of paper, NOPE. totally differnt animal. wish I could help. Babies and toddlers are hard to do anyway. takes patience and speed.

I cut all my boys hair. I've learned scissors have no place in my hands while cutting a toddlers hair. I use clippers. Put the safety guard on and quickly guide it where it needs to be cut. It's not the best cut but it's better then them running around with long straggly hair.
Now, My DH on the other hand. I've given him one bad haircut.. I had a cast on my foot and he was in a hurry working on a computer. Ummm. When your DH can't hold still and your balancing on one foot.. don't attempt haircut LOL!

I've been cutting Jack's hair for almost a year. His last haircut from someone else was very traumatic, and I just figured this would be better. It is. I can cut hair though, and I keep jack distracted so he's not too bothered by me cutting his hair. Sorry it didn't work out for you.
