I think I'm just whining...but...when did your dc start nursing less?
DS nurses probably ten times per day which isn't really a problem at all except that he only nurses on the right side so I'm SO lopsided. It has been this way for months but it's wearing on me.
Clothes don't fit, it is very obvious, etc. I was thinking that when he lessened his nursing maybe they would even out. I've tried pumping on that side but I just don't have the time to pump every single time he eats.
I'm not ready to wean but I was thinking that maybe he would start nursing less when he was one.
Any thoughts?

At a year, DS nursed about 20 times in 24 hours. At 18 months, DS nursed about 12 times in 24 hours. So, that 12 times is technically nursling less - though still a lot! He was solid delayed and ate 0-100 calories of non-breastmilk then and was a whopping 35lbs. So, I really think he needed to eat that often. I did cut him down since I wanted my fertility back. Part of me thinks he'd still be nursing that much if I hadn't cut him down!
My daughter actually cut down on her own like I had heard about. I can't remember the number of nursing sessions but there were a lot at 10 months. I'm guessing she was down to about 12 times a day at a year - which seemed like not a lot to me after my experience with DS. She was down to about 5 times a day by 18 months. She is 2.5 and now nurses about 3 times a night only.
*DD only nurses on one side. She and DS were assigned sides. DS's side is the side that's naturally smaller than the right even without milk. DS was down to three times a day at 4.5 years old and completely done a month shy of 5 years old. So I'm only nursing on one side now. I was more lopsided than usual for a bit. (I'm pg now and that changed things). However, I'm flat chested normally so shirts were always loose in the chest so clothing fitting was not an issue.

Simon only nursed on one side -- he was a "snacker." He definitely still nursed every couple of hours at 10 months, but it was for a very short period of time.
I was lopsided until I stopped nursing, but I don't think it was obvious with clothes. I'm sure it'll be less obvious soon!
