i'd call the pediatrician for any additional suggestions, but other than that i too would try to wait it out.

Mine had the exact same thing, it's due to small nasal passages. I tried all I could to clear it, loads of saline, suction, humidifier and nothing worked until they gave him Nasonex. It did not come to that until he failed to gain weight because he wasnt getting enough from tiring out.
