My nephew is 2 months now and my sister was told today that he might have colic. It occurs more at night than the day. I was wondering what things worked to help you and your child get through colic.
Any advice is welcome or stories. I just want to help my sister find a way to deal with this easier.

Does she have Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Karp? It discusses colic specificly and discusses ways to soothe baby. DD had a very cranky period in the evenings when she was little and I would have to swaddle her, lay her over my knees, bounce the knee under her tummy, and pat her all while rocking in the glider.

I used to take a warm blanket and wrap it around my son's belly and hold him belly down on my lap while I rubbed his back to try to ease the gas. My son loved to listen to the fan in the kitchen. Thankfully my son's colic got better around 3 months.
Did your sister try an elmination diet? Many babies are bothered by dairy in particular.
Baby's also have fussy periods and night time is a favorite time. My son fussed from 5 to 10 almost every night for a long time it seemed.

Rule out OALD and dairy as culprits.
Happiest Baby on the Block is a good suggestion. We also used to sit on the huge yoga ball and bounce the baby when the crying was bad.

We would walk around outside or take a warm bath. My kids both had a few hours at night when they were just cranky.

Nothing would calm Rylan like a walk outside. I used to put in the sling and go for a walk in the middle of the night just to get him to stop crying.
