so, dd is 8.5 months, at 6 months i got a period, then at 7 months, but now none.
while its POSSIBLE that im pregnant, i dont feel like i am. so im wondering, since dd HAS started nursing more frequently again (especially at night) since we have barely started solids (we play with them every now and again as the mood strikes us) is it possible that ive stopped ovulating?

I believe it's possible. However, if you are not ready for another baby, I would not rely on breastfeeding as your ounly means of birth control. Here's a short article on LAM. http://www.breastfeeding.com/reading_room/lam.html

weve never relied on lam really. but we do try to use FAM or NFP.

Your cycles can be a bit funky for a while. I would rely on some other form of birth control until everything has been back to normal for a while.

I got AF back at 6 month but it has been somewhat inconsistent since (I'm usually like clockwork). We also use NFP but have not relied on that yet.

No it's not LAM they way it is the first 6 mo. Once you've had a cycle they can happen again any time. It is very likely that the frequency suppresses ovulation, but you won't know when that stops and certainly miss the first resumed ovulation.
I would test for pregnancy just to be on the safe side.

yeah, i was terribly irregular leading up to dd1, then after i had her completely regular, so i only assumed after dd2 itd be the same.
so we werent/arent really trusting nfp, but being that "anything is possible".
as for taking a test, that seems logical, but ive never taken a negative one, after 3 pregnancies im starting to think that its the tests that "make it happen" haha.
