Help me please!My baby is 16 days old and is going through a phase of feeding all the time. My nipples are cracked and I am getting a stabbing pain in my left breast. I dread feeding time because it hurts but when it works I enjoy doing it. Can I use Daktrain gel on my nipples? Any other useful tips for breastfeeding?

I don't think you have thrush or yeast as it doesn't occur this soon. Your baby is damaging the nipple somehow and nipple pain is so....severe!!! You can use Daktarin on nipples, but that is not what you need. Is there a lactation consultant in your area that you can see? She can help you figure out why the damage is ocurring.
