2 y/o bites finger nails

Help! My 2 y/o DS is now biting his finger nails off. I can't keep his hands out of his mouth. This just started recently when we brought baby brother home. Any help?

They make a nail polish that's supposed to taste bad to stop thumb sucking. It would probably work. You might talk to a child counciler to see if there are any ways you can help him stop.

I don't know what to say though, I still bite my nails.

My 3 yr old bites his nails too. He has been biting them since he was 2 yrs old. I don't know what to do to get him to stop either. I noticed that he does it when he is frusturated.

My 5 year old does/did this on occassion. I found I just had to cut them super short all the time and it was no longer an issue.

Dh does too. He has no actual nails left. Now he chews on the tips of his fingers.

DS bit his nails until one of his fingers got an infection. :( Now he just brings me the nail clippers/
