A nonprofit organization (Contemporary Arts Forum) did this every year where I used to live but tickets were 100.00.

I don't know the specifics of it but it's on it's fifth year so it must be a big money maker for the organization.

Wow that is cool! I have a friend that had his house paid off. Wife asked for a divorce. He put the house up for sale and sold it to the first person that looked at if for $50.00.
House out of settlement. Wife couldn't do a thing about it. Strange huh.

I love what the money is for too. I may just have to buy myself a ticket.

That's really cool!
I do wonder what the property taxes on that house would be, though.

I have a friend who bought a Stanford White row house in NYC for $1. He had to move it (condition of the sale, the land was being sold to the city seperately) and paid about 50K to do so, but now he has a 2million dollar house, so I guess it was worth the trouble.
