If you don't have an Angel Food program in your area,
do a search online for similar named programs.
there are no Angel Food Programs that I can find online in Arizona, but there is a Food Value Club
http://www.firstfoodbank.org/fvc.html
that doesn't have any income guidelines,
Pantry Package, $13: includes 14 to 16 meal staples, such as canned vegetables and fruit, pasta and beans
Meat Packages, $16-$20: includes four to five excellent quality meat items, such as pork chops, beef patties and chicken breasts
I'm not sure of the quality of the items, but I'm thinking of going and checking it out for my family here in Phoenix.
Depending on where you live, you may qualify for other plans. don't forget WIC and Food Plus programs in your area, and you can also call the local food bank and ask if they know of anything open to the general public.
My mom qualifies for the Food Plus program since she lives on social security. but for an extra $15 a month, she can get an extra box of food and it is associated with food plus, but has no income requirements for that second box.
Just a heads up for other options for those who can't do the angel food program and need help with their food budget.
