i dont' know if i can ever explain the joy of finding out i was pregnant that first time.. well WAS really happy with my ob/gyn... had some crazy morning sickness the first 4 months... then got better after that... then on dec. 10 2003 i felt like i was leaking amnio fluid... went to the hospital... they had an INTERN check me...came back that i wasn't leaking...sent me home... then on the 19th i went to a normal baby check (6 days before due date, yes christmas day), they did an ultrasound and non stress test because i had decreased fetal movements. well they said go to hospital you're gonna have the baby.. they started the induction... had my epidural at midnight.. then by 10am started pushing... stubborn little boy everytime i took a deep breath to push again he decided to go back up...well doc said let's get you in the OR we're gonna prep you for a c-section...got in the OR doc says lets try this one thing first (and she holds up a vacuum extractor) she said with this we'll have him out in 2 pushes. Well i requested after that to have a c-section twice... still she said aw you can do it... 2 pushes.. well she was right 2 pushes and the little stinker was out his apgars were 9 and 9. well then like 10 hours later a nurse that i hadnt' met yet came into my room (baby was in nursery) and said that my son... beautiful wonderful little boy was in the NICU because he started to have a seizure in the nursery. well obviously i FREAKED! we went to the NICU to see our little boy, they told us there that he had a brain hemorrhage, and that he wasn't breathing very well and they were trying to get him transferred to a children's hospital... when he was trasferred he needed to be intubated, and when he got there they had found two more brain hemorrhages, we thought we were going to lose him... thank GOD we didn't... he stayed there for 4 weeks constantly having seizures... he was a real trooper... he's four now... has cerebral palsy...and we just had our second little boy via c-section done by a different doctor at a different hospital. My little man can't walk yet... got his first wheel chair 2 weeks ago.. but he's so happy... and proud big brother...
