and now my body looks and feels swollen. I walked a little over 2.5 miles, about 1/4th mile was a pretty steep hill. Then I lifted 8 pound weights, probably about 100 arm curls and other arm exercises. Then I done about 100 side kicks and lounges total. The walk is something I do 3 to 5 times a week but all the other stuff, I just started last night.
I am sore, which I expected. But my body, especially my belly, looks bloated today. Is that normal?

What did you eat yesterday?

I had a Lean Cuisine panini, two bowls (about 1 cup each time, but at different times) of bowtie pasta with sundried tomato alfredo sauce and shrimp scampi, 2 slices of thin garlic bread, a bowl of Cinnimon Toast Crunch cereal with 2% milk and half a sliced banana. And a lot of water.
I actually thought I done decent on eating yesterday, but now that I look at it written down, it sucked. Way too many carbs.

And no where near enough fruits and vegetables.

How much salt was in all that? That'd be my first guess.
And... yum... I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch!

The shrimp scampi was very salty and freaking delicious! Food is my downfall. I am trying to clean my diet up. I can only eat a fraction of what I could eat pre-surgery though. I just need to eat the right foods.

I know the older I get the more I swell with salt. And I'm only 28. *pout*

Exercise induced swelling is pretty normal, although it's not usually belly swelling. That sounds like too many carbs and salt and not enough water.
Great workout- but you need to support it with some more protein intake!
