Hi, good evening. My DS is very sensitive. So much to the fact that he has had his first "strike" early at 4-5 wks old because of my OALD, he refused to eat. I had considered it a strike since he would make this "ugh/yuck" face. Since then it seems like he is forever striking. When I introduced bottles at 6 wks he striked. I ate garlic once and he striked for 5 days. He refuses to nurse in a cradle position thus making outings a lil' difficult. He know only takes 1-2 bottles of EBM. If we try anymore he'll strike.

Right, know we are going thru another strike yet I'm unsure of what was the cause. I know that the other day I went to my supermarket (which is 3 blocks away) and he got hungry while I was paying I didn't get to nurse him until we got home. He cries bloody murder when he see my breasts... it's been 5 days since.

Just wanting to know if this will get better since everytime he strikes, I feel like quitting.... advice?

I bet there is some allergy component to it. do a quick search for allergy elimination diet and try to cut down on some of the dairy and wheat type things and see if there is improvement. But, you may have a very temmperental child. also, see Dr Sears fussy baby section. that may give you lots of good ideas.

I virtually cut all dairy out of my system... Although I can get away with a regular coffee in the mornings. Any more dairy than that will cause for a fussy baby.

I also have a apartment full of 3 other boys so many distractions. Could that also be a major factor? Is there any way I can encourage reverse cycling? He currently nurses 5-6 times a day 2-4 feeding at night.

You could try, but then you wouldn't sleep. It may be too distracting for him to calmly nurse, or he's a bit hypersenstitive. I would eliminate wheat if you can and check out Dr Sears's site for some info. g'night
