View Full Version : Coming Way down from a mania

I am just so frustrated, and very very sad right now. I guess I've been in a mania for the past week (longer than that, but a big one where I hardly ate and slept). I just didn't realize how big it was until now, when the big crash came.
I took a couple of my girls to get some pants and long sleeve shirts. I was fine until I got home. I just want to cry but can't seem to find the tears. I want to go to bed, but my mind just won't stop thinking sad things. I want to just not be bipolar anymore.

*hugs* I am sorry. The come downs are so difficult. Take care of yourself the next few days.

I will. I just haven't had a crash this bad since before going back on meds nearly 1.5 years ago. Even then, I cycled so rapidly I don't even remember crashing.
This too shall pass.

It will and you will be okay, your a strong woman. Can you do some stuff for yourself the next few days? Take some time to take a hot bath with a good book or maybe get your nails done?

Maybe I can get a bath in tomorrow. Thanks :) Sometimes it takes someone reminding me there are things I can do to help myself out of the funk.

I'm sorry you're having such a big/bad low. I'm just curious...when did you get dx wit bp? My dd was dx with early-onset bp and my sister is but not as severe as dd. Did you have difficulties as a young child?
