I spend a lot of time trying to get the perfect picture, the right light, the right angle, the right combination of everything in the frame of the picture, and about half the time I get the picture I want.

I am forever messing with the manual settings on my camera, quite unsuccessfully, trying to get the in focus and out of focus shots that I love of Veggie's.

Well, tonight I got two pictures, quite by luck, that I love, so here they are, and I would LOVE to see everyone else's favorite recent pictures, I am always looking at pictures trying to learn more. Hopefully in a few years I can take a photography class, not to be a photographer for a living, or to make money, but just for fun.

This one is my oldest, catching up to us on our walk, I had to send her back home to shut some windows and I took about 8 pictures of her as she walked back to us, but I loved this one, her body and stance, the line of the sidewalk, the lines of the driveways, the light and shadows.

The other picture that really caught my eye, I took while we were walking home, it's my two little ones in the wagon (we seem about ready to donate our double stroller we use it so infrequently) I love the motion of the picture, the blur of the grass and sidewalk, my girls covered up with my sweatshirt and daddy's... But, the mystery to me is of course, how this picture came out just the way I would have wanted it, had I known how to make it like this, it just came out perfectly by accident.

Here's one of my little man. He's teething, hence the major drooling. Isn't he cute?

It's a growing hobby. The lighting for these turned out great IMO. My good camera is dying and I really want to replace it so I can get back to playing more.

She's adorable Indigo, it looks like she was a pretty willing subject too, no flash right? My 4-year old hates the flash so I try not to take her pictures with it as she will cover her face or run or hide.

Indigo! I am impressed! You are doing a wonderful job! Let me just add to girlsmom about the flash. I only use flash when I have to. I am a natural light girl, and love the results I get with that!

I have already posted this, but it turned out better than I thought because...well...DS is always on the go and I had about 15 seconds, if that to capture this!

This one, and everything h=on my blog is natural light.

No flash. It's hard to get good shots using flash, but indoor lighting can be tricky which is why I was so pleased with these.

Thanks all. I really really need a new camera. I have to bite the bullet and do it. I have a baby coming that's a good excuse right?

I have a lot of trouble getting shots that are not blurry without a flash unless we are outside or have a lot of light coming into the house.

I try not to use the flash at all, and I have had some fun taking pictures at night, on night mode, but have to set the camera down on something to keep it still. I do like taking some pictures with the slo-mo flash of fast-moving kids, I like all the blur you get then.

Hennyetta, what a great picture, when I see a picture like that I think of what he must have been thinking about, probably something totally different than a grown up would be thinking!

MaWhit, what pretty cats!

KatieLou, aw, what tiny baby feet!

Great pics, everyone! I haven't been shooting much lately and what I've shot hasn't turned out so great.

Were those dragonfly shots taken w/ a macro lens?

Were those dragonfly shots taken w/ a macro lens? They were taken with a regular lens.

Wow, Tabatha, the angle and lighting in that first picture is awesome. The picture of your son is adorable, the shadow and his expression and his hat and shirt, all fitting together just right.
