I think it's because it's autumn and it feels like a time of breathing in, but I've been creating up a storm. I love to see what others are doing as well. It gives me inspiration.

Here are some recent projects--

I'm crocheting scarves for Mom and MIL. I may thrown in a matching hat, but I'm not sure.

The kids and I went and picked leaves from our fruit trees. Then we drew pictures of the trees/vines, and glued the leaves into place. I put each page into plastic sleeves. They will be put in a book for their grandparents.

I'm in the middle of baking oatmeal raisin cookies. Does that count? :)

Vulture Mom that turtle is absolutely Adorable!!!!
Wish I knew how to knit & crochet :(

I haven't started yet but Saturday I'm going to start on a project of Indigo's daughter.
I'm not sure if I'm going to try it in Pastels or use Oil Paints. I guess I'll decide what I feel like doing on Saturday. :D

It's been Toooo long since I've done any Art Work. Hopefully DD won't be too demanding.

That turtle is so cute!

I'm not currently working on anything but I'd like to find some time. I want to make sandwhich wraps similar to this: http://crazy-mumma.blogspot.com/2008/03/homemade-sandwich-wrap.html

I love the fairy world! Learning to needle felt is on the short list of things to learn.

That turtle is supper cute, I can't seem to knit and count at the same time so it's too complicated for me, but I love it.

I am working on flannel crib sheet sets for my cousin and sil.

Thanks!

Know that Krista wears the cute little bows, I can see where a bowholder would come in handy.

Wish I knew how to knit & crochet :(

You can learn how. Seriously, if I can learn anyone can. Some of the ladies here have to remember how I'd tearfully post because I had, yet again, failed at knitting.

It took a $5 class at Michael's, the book Stitch & Bitch and www.knittinghelp.com but I can knit now!

I love felted things, I haven't seen any irl, but I drool over them all the time on Etsy.

I just finished a blanket, and I have some pink left over to make mittens with. I also just got some pink flannel patterns to make some snuggly patchwork pillow cases for my 4-year old and either of the other girls if they want one.

Blanket:
I can't put any new pictures on photobucket for some reason, so here is one of the blanket before I finished it. My 4-year old picked all the dog and cat fabrics herself :)

don't know if they are the same ones...I just caught the tail end of that one. But they are bowholders! I made DD one with her name on it. I am not a wonderfully crafty person, but I was pleased.

Oh wow, such cute stuff!

I've been bitten by a crafty bug lol.
I am currently painting a doll house for Elise for Christmas and I'm really enjoying it. I need to get some pics to post.

We've also been playing around with painting different stuff. We made some butterflies this weekend that we'll be making a mobile with when they're all dry.

I am attempting to make an Egyptian pyramid out of sand and glue. Not sure if that's going to work out so we might just do sugar cubes.

Once I get some sealer, we're going to build and paint some birdhouses for the ones who stick around for the winter.

Oh, and we made some cute foam magnets for the fridge.

I learned from stitch & bitch too and occasional help from my Sister. It is a great book.

I will still use www.knittinghelp.com when I run across a new stitch.

And I also love the wrist warmers and fairy world. Sasha you make me wish for sheep.

I can't post pics right now, but have been working on a few things.
First, I found these small, index-card sized wooden wall plaques and have been painting pictures of animals and other things from nature on them along with their names printed on the bottom...kind of like flash cards, but I'm going to make them into a mobile and hang them from DS' ceiling.

Second, I've been slowly making him a halloween costume- my first big sewing project ever. LOL When it's done, it should hopefully look like a genie.. or maybe an arabian knight.: )

Third, I just finished weaving a nest for my cute little finches! They took a day or so to get used to it, but now sit in it all night. : )

I'm working on one more baby hat for Knit One, Save One. I'm making some reusable snack bags (for all children in my house) and a stuffed pillow for my baby sitting child.

I hope to start a Slytherin scarf for DH soon. I'd also like to make some stuffed pillows for DD and DS.

I'm TRYING to learn how to crochet, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do a "chain."
ok, a chain.
can you make the beginning loop/knot?
take the end of the yarn in your right hand and make a loop around your left pointer finger. let go of the tag end of the yarn and take the loop off your finger and hold the loop at the x where the two strings meet with your left pointer and thumb.
with your right hand, take the yarn that goes toward the ball (the working end)
and stick a loop of it thru the loop you already have
and pull til you make a knot with a loop.
If you pull and the loop comes undone, then stick the loop thru from the other direction.

the loop you have will gets bigger as you pull on the loop or you can pull on the working end and make the loop smaller.

now to make a chain.
take this first loop you have made and put a loop of the working end of the yarn thru the loop. reeat. If you pull too tight, you'll make another knot, instead you want to leave a bit of the "old" loop, and add the new loop.

You repeat this until you have a chain of loops.
crocheting is just pulling loops thru loops.

you can find pictures on the internet that show it,
if you were here I'd show you how.
I'm thinking of starting to do beginning crochet classes for$10 for the first hour.

and typing this out is very difficult to do.
because I don't know if you are right or left handed, or if you will loop the yarn around your finger this way or thataway
and lots gets lost in the written language of it all.

As for what I've done recently.
I crocheted a big black spider with bendy legs and green eyes
a christmas angel
and I'm working on a pumpkin.
they were done without patterns, so parts are sort of wonky.
I might upload pictures if my camera battery is working,
and will try to get a picture of the banana split my mom crocheted for me about 25 years ago for Quilty.
