Hi my daughter Abigail is 9 months old and her nursing sessions are rarely longer than 5 minutes. I have tried breast compressions but they don't seam to help at all. At her 9 month well check she was 15 lbs and 5 oz. Birth weight was 6 lbs 2 oz. She has been playing with solids but not everyday and only gets them after she nurses. Any suggestions on how to make sure she is getting the fattier hind milk? BTW her poop is a brownish/yellowish color if that helps. TIA

Wow 9 months. That's great. 5-7 minutes is very normal. Was the doctor OK with her weight? Is she content and happy?

Doctor was fine with her weight she has always been on the small side and is hugging the bottom of the growth chart but she is on her slow curve up and is staying on the chart. She is in the 3rd percent for weight and between the 5th to 10th for height. She is very happy and content and is still nursing every 1.5 to 3 hours. She also wakes up between 2-3 times at night. Is that normal for a 9 month old? Should I try to offer both sides per session? Right now she only eats on one side.

What is normal depends on how much your breasts store and what your baby's tummy size is. AS long as you are OK with this pattern I would say just relax and trust that everything is fabulous! If she only wants one breast, then I would say she only wants one breast.
