My dd is 8.5 months and has two teeth on the bottom. She is now getting one on the top and is biting instead of nursing. Last night she started even before getting a let down (I let down usually very quickly). I had to stop because she wouldn't. I gave her some tylenol, and wait half an hour to try to feed her.
What I've done when she bites is stick my finger in her mouth to break the latch (and bite), pull her off and say no bite. If she's nursed pretty well on that side, I'll let her back on once to see if she want to continue nicely. If she doesn't and bites again, I take her off and either switch sides or if it's the second one already we're done.
Is there anything else I can do?
