poop concern

i've been bf'ing my six week old for about 12 days now...we've only been giving formula when he's not satisfied after bf'ing... over the last 2-3 days i've been noticing that he's only pooped 1 time a day... is this normal, should i call the doc? he's been having 7 or 8 saturated diapers if not more a day...but no poop yet so far today...starting to really concern me. we were only supplementing because he hadn't regained his birth weight by 1 month old. he was 6 13, now a little over 7lb... doc doesn't want to see him again til november.. thank you

Is he waking himself up for feeds. How often? Is he content? If yes to these, then it is normal at 4-6 weeks to slow poops down to once a day or once every 3-10 days, sometimes longer. I would want you to have him weighed again this wekk to to reassure you and to make sure he is getting plenty.

when he isn't content i give him each breast again, then if still then formula. he does wake for feedings... i will get him reweighed. thank u
