After multiple question to the forum and LLL, I called the pedi and she referred me to the local LC. After seeing my baby activity and development and explaining about her eating habits, they recommended to continue trying and pumping and offering the cup. But they said she may have weaned. My DD is so active and curious, even when I breastfed her, she was always pushing on my body and arm, it was never relaxing. And now she can drink about 13oz a day and that is probably more than the MANY MANY days that I struggled to breastfeed her. Her diaper are fuller now! Her solids are pretty nutritious (I prepare everything myself). I know it is not usual that babies wean at 9 months, but they saw her and that is what they said. I guess like I may have said earlier, at least she is drinking breast milk and now she is trained to use a cup and to sleep on her own. She is also a happy child and healthy and she loves to kiss and hug. I will continue offering and pumping until I can give her cow milk and run out of supply (or about 1 year old).

Well whatever does happen..I think you have done a fantastic job making it this far momma!! Give yourself a huge pat on the back!
Yes, they say that babies don't wean at 9mo. but there are always exceptions to every rule. The one thing to remember is that you've provided her with the very best for as long as you have and will continue until its no longer needed. That speaks volumes if you ask me.
I hope things do work out for you but be proud either way!

Has anyone suggested to you that the solids may have indeed triggered a premature weaning response?
I would seriously cut back on the solids to see if you can regain her interest in nursing. Have you tried a nursing necklace?
I would love to try and help you get back on track:)

It was suggested cutting back on solids a week or more ago. I don't know if that was tried at all. I would also have NOT started giving breastmilk in a sipper cup at that level. I think it started as teething pain, which gave a negative connotation to breastfeeding-when I nurse, my mouth hurts. That kind of fear can be overcome, but it's sometimes difficult at this age, cause they just don't understand all your words.
that said, if you are happy with this, then more power to you.

A nursing strike at 9 mos is very common. I've seen them go as long as 2 weeks to a month. Have you seen this?

I did cut on solids and gave the cup with milk as the LC suggested I could do. I want to thank everyone for your help. Her teeth (4 at once) are finally coming through, so I will continue trying.
