DD's friend's Bday party was postponed

And they forgot to call us with the new info. DD is heartbroken at school today bc bday girl asked here where she was yesterday. The teacher's aide just called to let me know Mary is having a really hard day bc of it. :(

The parents get flakey a lot on us and we try not to rely on them- Ok, they are the flakiest ever.
I will admit, I am a bit chapped about it. Call me petty, I'll own up to it.

I would be irritated to. They would be irritated if it happened to their DD. Maybe you could take your DD and the Bday girl out for ice cream?

That sucks! I agree with trying to take them for ice cream or something if you can swing it. One of my neices friends forgot about her party over the summer and the mom called my sis to take the b-day girl and friend for ice cream. She loved it.

Poor kid. I feel terrible for her. Birthday parties are so important to them and to miss one is like a blow to the gut.

Give her extra candy or something!
